At the northernmost limits of Europe, the Sami people are preserving an ancestral culture against the threats of modernity, climate disruptions and erosion of their valuable ancestral savoir-faire.

This series, which complements my documentary SÁMIS, presents a diptych tale in which human stories and natural wonders are woven together.

This work, which follows on from my Savoir-Faire and Eikasia projects, is a visual tribute to the land and the Sami culture, where against the odds, collective memory is passed down.

SÁMIS invites to discover the subtle art of coexisting with time, honoring a precious legacy through deep respect for the natural rhythms and knowledge passed down through generations.
