BALI
In 2016, I visited the well-known Bali Island to meet some marvelous artisans and craftsmen working there. The island is renowned for being a hotspot for engraving, both on wood and volcanic stone. Additionally, it is a prolific place for ceramic work. Besides these artisans, I had the pleasure of meeting Arief Rabik, who leads the '1000 Bamboo Villages' project—an organization that works to educate isolated villages in sustainable bamboo harvesting techniques.
