CLIC CLAC KODAK

In 2018, alongside with a friend, I began Leftover Lives. This hobby project led me to explore several thousands of slides, negatives, Super8s and glass plates of random people from the 20th century.

This candid, spontaneous imagery challenged my rigorous approach of a photographic work based on a defined theme, technical skill and a defined process. Like a return to basics, using a 6x6 film camera, I began to deconstruct each of my photographic convictions one by one.

Clic Clac Kodak became a canvas reflecting my day-to-day life, encapsulating experiences, friendships, family, and significant moments with my life partner.

This new work becomes a tacit quest for memories, a photographic exploration of the void, and an expression of the will to live ; with the hope that one day, perhaps, someone will come across these rolls again, and will also discover the life of an anonymous person from the beginning of the second millennium.

So far, this project is already composed of several hundreds of pictures and will, of course, be updated through time while becoming a peephole to our time.
